What is Heart for LA?
Who we are
Inspired by the fires that started in Los Angeles County on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, Heart for LA is a ministry birthed from the heart of Carla Yorke.
On December 5, 2023, this feeling of doing “something” for LA started brewing inside of her. And since she didn't know what the "something" was, she kept praying about it. All she knew is she wanted to do “something” for LA. She originally thought it was going to be a business (which may still happen). But, when the fires came through LA, and knowing how devastating it was going to be for the people, she knew in her heart that this was the "something" she had to do for the city she loved.
